Four more naturalised players have been added to the Hong Kong soccer squad for crunch World Cup qualifiers against the Maldives and China this month, the Hong Kong Football Association said on Monday.

Forwards Alex Akande, Paulo Carreiro, Sandro and defender Helio Goncalves, all from champions Kitchee, were set to practise with the squad at Mong Kok Stadium on Tuesday.

All four have obtained their Hong Kong passports over the past two weeks.

Hong Kong need good results against the Maldives on November 12 and the eagerly awaited clash against “big brother” China five days later to keep their qualifying hopes alive.
