In-form Hong Kong professional Tiffany Chan Tsz-ching produced a strong finish to roar up the first round leaderboard at the Symetra Tour’s US$100,000 Tullymore Classic with a opening effort of four-under-par 68 leaving the Olympian tied for 10th in Michigan.

Making her third consecutive start on the second-tier tour in the US and fourth overall as a professional, Chan birdied four of her final seven holes at the 6,418 yard Tullymore Golf Resort in Canadian Lakes having reached the turn in level par.

The 23-year-old has now made par or better in each of her nine rounds as a professional which have earned Chan a second place and tied for 13th place finish on her two Symetra Tour outings in the last two weeks.

China’s Yu Liu tops the first-round leaderboard at eight-under-par, with American Lindsey Weaver a shot further off the pace.
