Song Dong: 36 calendars

Here’s your chance to join an exclusive SCMP tour of Beijing-based contemporary artist Song Dong’s first solo exhibition "Song Dong: 36 calendars" in Hong Kong on 26 January 2013 at 11am. Led by Song Dong himself with a special introduction by SCMP Arts Editor Kevin Kwong, the tour will comprise of Song Dong's selection and introduction of his favourite stories in history according to his personal memory.

“Song Dong: 36 Calendars” re-writes the last 36 years of history (1978-2013) through the eyes of Song Dong and 432 members of the public. Each of the 432 months is accompanied by a sketch of a significant historical event.
