Living it up: nature beckons on Kennedy Road, while a Wan Chai flat offers stunning harbour views
An attractive property in a less polluted yet convenient part of town is available in South Garden Mansion, while a well-decorated flat on a high floor in Convention Plaza comes with amazing views
Kennedy Road in Mid-Levels is within walking distance of Central, which includes Queen’s Road and Admiralty.
Among its attractions, Kennedy Road offers close proximity to nature and better air quality than in many other parts of Hong Kong Island. It is popular with the wealthy, who are willing to pay top prices for a residence that is away from pollution, yet close to the city centre.
Landscope-Christie’s has an attractive home available on Kennedy Road, in South Garden Mansion. The apartment is priced at HK$34 million and has a gross floor area of 1,500 sq ft, and 1,348 sq ft of saleable area, giving it an efficiency rate of 90 per cent. The flat has two bedrooms, including one en suite, two bathrooms, a combined living and dining room and one covered car park. It is partially furnished and has a fully-fitted and equipped kitchen. The agents in charge of the sale at Landscope are Teresa Lau and Christine Chong.
Another interesting property on the market is a flat at Convention Plaza in Wan Chai, overlooking the harbour and across to Tsim Sha Tsui. Property agents say that flats on the high floors in Convention Plaza are seldom released.
Brenda Tsui of Midland Realty, the agent in charge of the sale, says the asking price of HK$12.6 million for the 843 sq ft flat is very attractive. It has a saleable area of 659 sq ft. Tsui says that the flat has top-class decorations; the buyer would therefore be able to move in with just his or her bags immediately. The flat has two bedrooms and one dining/living room.
