Horizon Plaza is one of Hong Kong’s best-known spots for furniture and fashion. Situated at the southwest tip of Hong Kong Island, in Ap Lei Chau, the warehouse-style building can be found at Lee Wing Street and caters to a wide range of tastes and budgets.

With nearly 100 shops, Horizon Plaza is home to a growing number of sought-after brands. The 500,000 sq ft converted factory building offers 28 floors of high-end home décor and discount designer fashion outlets. These include Ermenegildo Zegna, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Shanghai Tang, Salvatore Ferragamo and Max Mara.

Interior design services are provided by a wide range of specialist shops in home accessories. They are complemented by a number of carpet specialists, outdoor furniture showrooms, and large retail stores for mothers, babies and children.

Beyond furniture and fashion, Horizon Plaza is also home to shops carrying premium wine, gourmet food, gift and pet supplies.

A range of cafes – such as Sift Patisserie, Coffee Plus and TREE takeaway cafe – is available for those needing a break between shopping. Some shops also have play areas for children.

Horizon Plaza’s success emerged in the mid-1990s when its vast, commercial retail space lured tenants and shoppers to Ap Lei Chau. Nowadays, the location remains popular with locals because of its attractive parking facilities.

Those who spend a certain amount, as determined by individual shops, can enjoy complimentary parking on the same day by showing their shop stamped hourly ticket or Octopus card receipt.

This offer is valid per private vehicle once a day and gives customers up to three hours of parking on weekdays, and one hour on weekends and public holidays.

The new South Island MTR line makes it easier to reach the shopping haven. From exit C of South Horizons station, it is about 15 minutes walking distance to Horizon Plaza, or visitors can take buses No 95 or 671 to Horizon Plaza from Lee Man Road, near the station exit.
