Foxglove evokes bygone era of adventure
The restaurant’s main area is reminiscent of an aviation hanger with a replica of a 1940s Gloster jet engine mounted on the wall
The décor is a throwback to a golden era when adventurers travelled in style. The main area is reminiscent of an aviation hangar with a replica of a 1940s Gloster jet engine mounted on the wall and the private room, an Orient Express theme.
A throwback to prohibition, an umbrella shop entrance conceals the bar, dining area and live jazz. Already known for the martini trolley and cocktails where artisanal spirits are used, the food is also a must-try. The menu is Western fare with an emphasis on French bistro. Starters include dill gravlax, oysters and lobster bisque and mains, coq au vin, stuffed quail and rabbit stew. Desserts of tiramisu and chocolate mousse are not to be missed.
