There will be 500 given away with tickets bought for the 28th and another 500 for the 29th. The tournament runs from May 27-29 at Mission Road.

Organisers expect tickets to sell fast after the announcement that former Australia captain Michael Clarke will turn out for the Kowloon Cantons.

“Since we are the title sponsor of the event, we want to strengthen our brand image around this event and what better way than to give away our quality products,” said DTC Mobile managing director Sanjay Bhimsaria.

The price of general admission is HK$100, while fans wanting a food and drinks package can opt for a gazebo for 10 at HK$6,000, which includes free-flow beer and wine.

HKCA Marketing and Commercial Director Max Abbott is hopeful the DTC promotion will help the event become a sell-out.

“It is very generous of DTC mobile to present their phones as souvenir to our paying ticket holders.” Abbott said.
