China’s two-time Olympic boxing champion Zou Shiming will have to wait until February at the earliest before he can earn a world title shot.
The flyweight will fight an “eliminator” bout in Clash of Cotai II in November and the winner of that bout will meet either IBF flyweight title holder Amnat Ruenroeng of Thailand or Puerto Rico’s McWilliams Arroyo, who will fight in Thailand next month.
Amnat is making the second defence of his IBF title won in January.

“I am hoping to watch that bout in Thailand to get a closer look at my potential opponent,” Zou said.
“My goal is to be world champion so whether it comes sooner or later, I will be prepared. I will train with Manny Pacquiao in the Philippines for seven weeks in October.”
