Hong Kong golf star Tiffany Chan misses first cut as a pro
Youngster never got going in her fourth tournament in the US
Hong Kong golfer Tiffany Chan Tsz-ching suffered her first setback in her professional career after missing the cut at the Symetra Tour’s Donald Ross Centennial Classic.
It was the first event at which Chan, who played in the Rio Olympics for Hong Kong, has failed to make the cut. She was five-over par in both her opening rounds.
Chan had finished second, 13th and eighth in three Symetra Tour events before this weekend, earning US$17,025 to lie in 25th place in the rankings.
The top 10 or so players at the end of the season usually win a place on the top-tier LPGA Tour.
