Visitors secure four wicket win in last match of ACC Premier League tournament in Kuala Lumpur after four straight losses
Hong Kong salvaged a semblance of pride at the ACC Premier League by winning their final match in the tournament defeating hosts Malaysia by four wickets in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Chasing 185 for victory, Hong Kong reached the target with eight overs to spare with Babar Hayat top-scoring on 45, while Waqas Barkat made 44 and Nizakat Khan 37.
Earlier, Nadeem Ahmed grabbed three wickets while his younger brother Irfan and Tanwir Afzal took two wickets apiece as Malaysia were bowled out for 184.
Hong Kong lost all their four previous matches, including two ODIs to Afghanistan and United Arab Emirates.
