World-class boxing coach Aljoe Jaro has been dumped by Rex Tso Sing-yu's management team, who want their fighter to train in Hong Kong.

Filipino Jaro, who is also trainer for WBC world flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro, said he would never work again with Tso's manager, Jay Lau Chi-yuen.

"I'm very sad. What will happen to Rex in future? I motivated Rex and developed him. When Rex came to me, he was nothing. Now he is somebody," said Jaro, Tso's coach for two years.

"I treated Rex just like my son and Rex treated me like his father. It has now become like this. Rex wants to stay with me but he doesn't have a say," claimed Jaro, who was informed that his services were no longer required after Tso scored his 15th straight victory on Sunday.

"I always liked Rex because of his attitude. I taught him how to move and how to box his opponents. This time [without Jaro], it won't be easy. Maybe he will find another trainer, but to be honest, if he does find another trainer, his career might be finished in his next fight," said Jaro. "I used to respect Jay [Lau] but now no more."

Tso could fight a super flyweight world title eliminator in March or April.

"Rex is not a knockout artist. That's why I tried to build him up. He has developed his power. He could still become world champion if he stayed with me," said Jaro.
