In-form triathlete Ivan Lo Ching-hin claimed victory in the men’s senior race at the Hong Kong Cross Country Championship at the Hong Kong Golf Club on Monday.

Lo, 25, appeared to have seen off the challenge of Tang Man-wa and Wong Wai-chung after the second of a three-lap tour of the Old Course at Fanling, however the two road runners came back in determined fashion over the final lap and a sprint finish was needed for Lo to secure victory.

“I know the layout here as I ran the inter-schools cross country event several times when I was a teenager,” said Chai Wan-based Lo, who placed third in the Asics 10Km at Tin Shui Wai just two weeks ago.
