Ng On-yee and Wan Ka-kei clinch women’s World Six Reds title in Egypt

Hong Kong pair win tournament in Sharm-El-Sheikh but Ng bows out of the singles quarter-finals after being forced to play 15 minutes after the team final

Hong Kong snooker queen Ng On-yee and partner Wan Ka-kei won the women’s team final at the IBSF World Six Reds tournament in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt, on Friday night.

The pair prevailed 4-3 over the India team of Vidya Pillai and Amee Kamani.

Just 15 minutes later, Ng faced Pillai again in the singles quarter-finals but lost 4-2.

Coach Wong Tak-wah said Ng was suffering from a runny nose but was still able to keep her focus.
