American Alex Kang takes four-shot lead into final round of PGA Tour Clearwater Bay Open
A bogey-free third round seven-under-par 63 at Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club leaves South Korean Lee Dai-han and China’s Zhang Xinjun heading the chasing pack

American Alex Kang will take a four-shot lead into the final round of the PGA Tour Clearwater Bay Open after carding a bogey-free seven-under-par 63 at Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club on Saturday.
First round lead Kang is aiming for a second title of the season having landed June’s Cadillac Championship having also held a four shot 54-hole lead.
“Last time I won by six, so I hope I can win by seven or more this time,” said Kang, who is currently fourth in the order of merit.
“The greens are really nice. I am not the longest hitter, but the reachable par fours I can get to and that gives me an advantage over longer guys as I have better short game than most. Overall the course fits my game a lot.”

South Korean Lee Dai-han (63) and China’s Zhang Xinjun (64) head the chasing pack at 10-under, with New Zealand’s Daniel Pearce (64), Australia’s Daniel Nisbet (65), Americans Charlie Saxon (65) and Sam Chien (64) and Korea’s Mun Do-yeob (65) tied for fourth a further shot off the pace.
Hong Kong’s Jason Hak Shun-yat, meanwhile, produced a hard-fought two-under-par 68 to improve to two-over-par overall to sit tied for 50th place.
