Tiffany Chan makes second consecutive cut at Decatur-Forsyth Classic

Hong Kong professional cards level par second round of 72 at Hickory Point Golf Course to remain at two-under-par overall ahead of the final round of the Symetra Tour event

Hong Kong’s Tiffany Chan Tsz-ching ensured a second consecutive prize money cheque in the professional ranks after making the cut at the US$130,000 Decatur-Forsyth Classic in Illinois.

The 23-year-old Olympian carded a level-par second round of 72 at the 6,793-yard Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur, some 300 kilometres south of Chicago, to continue her encouraging start on her debut on the second-tier Symetra Tour in the US.

After signing for a card that included one birdie and a solitary bogey, Chan remained at two-under-par overall and tied for 42nd of the 67 players who made the one-under-par cut.

Thailand’s Chorphaka Jaengkit tops the leaderboard at 10-under-par, two shots clear of American Allison Emrey.

University of Southern California graduate Chan is making just her second outing as a professional following last week’s tied for 13th place finish at the EFG Hong Kong Ladies Open.
