Trainer Ricky Yiu Poon-fai is happy with the progress of star sprinter Amber Sky as the speed machine chases back-to-back Kent & Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup wins on Sunday at Sha Tin.

Amber Sky has suffered soreness in his hindquarters since running unplaced in the Group Two Jockey Club Sprint in late November, missing two weeks work initially, before being sidelined for a similar amount of time from late last month.

The five-year-old has now been back on the training track for two weeks heading into the HK$6.6 million race and Yiu says the son of Exceed And Excel is "as good as gold".
