Italian jockey Frankie Dettori celebrated in Hong Kong on Friday night after being awarded the second Longines World's Best Jockey title in a ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.

Dettori, 45, won the title after his performances on Derby and Arc winning colt Golden Horn, as well as his Diamond Jubilee Stakes success on Undrafted.

“It’s a great honour to win this award. I’m a bit long in the tooth these days so it is nice to be recognised in this way,” Dettori said.

Dettori will not be riding at Sunday’s Hong Kong International Races but has had plenty of success in the city before, including victories in three of the four international features.
