Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Shining Champion rattled home four deep to open his win account approaching the 150m following a one-off run in midfield. Outsider Presidentparamount only gained a clear run 100m out after a handy run and finished nicely in an eye-catching debut. Precious Gem travelled ahead of midfield, angled out five deep at the 400m and ran on nicely to place at very long odds. Double Dragon settled third and one off the rails, rallied four deep upon straightening and was overhauled late for a placing. Sea Warrior was ridden cold from a wide gate and made a nice move late down the far outside without menacing. O'Socoole made a mild bid after a deep run without cover in midfield. Joyful Luck eye-balled Ribot Legacy for the lead, built a length lead at the 200m and was stopping inside the 100m. Specked late, Just Mistere made a mild bid without menacing from near the rear. Thunder Flyer failed to menace after a deep run from behind midfield with cover from the widest gate. Punted late, newcomer Unicorn never got going third from the rear after getting squeezed out at the start.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (141)-ELIZABETH ARDEN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres

UNICORN was slow to begin.

As the start was effected, PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT lifted its front feet off the ground, began awkwardly, then shifted out and bumped SHINING CHAMPION.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, JUST MISTERE failed to muster speed.

After the 1100 Metres, DOUBLE DRAGON and O'SOCOOLE bumped.

Making the first turn, DOUBLE DRAGON got its head on the side and shifted out and as a result was awkwardly placed inside the heels of RIBOT LEGACY.

Approaching the 800 Metres, O'SOCOOLE was left racing wide and without cover.

For some distance after the 800 Metres, BEST FIGHTER and THUNDER FLYER raced tight.

Passing the 400 Metres, UNICORN, which was racing greenly, shifted in and was awkwardly placed outside THUNDER FLYER.

PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT was unable to obtain clear running in the early part of the Straight and passing the 400 Metres lay out and made heavy contact with DOUBLE DRAGON which was also shifting in, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.

PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT then continued to be held up for clear running until near the 200 Metres and then when attempting to improve into a tight run between JOYFUL LUCK and RIBOT LEGACY got its head on the side and lay out.

PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT continued to race greenly and lay out for the remainder of the race and proved difficult to ride.

A veterinary inspection of THUNDER FLYER and UNICORN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SHINING CHAMPION and PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT were sent for sampling.
