Punted late, Happy Bao Bei went straight to the front from gate three, cornered just over a length on top and kept finding with a switch to the Valley to open his win account at number 10. Late-plunged favourite No Money No Talk settled midfield along the rails, shifted into the clear four deep at the 250m and got up 100m out for a placing. Generous Bobo travelled one off in second, swung the final bend five deep and kept plugging away to hold a placing. All Win Boy settled fourth from the rear along the rails, peeled three deep at the 300m and closed off reasonably well to edge out Eye On You for fourth. Eye On You enjoyed a soft run on the back of the speed, turned the final bend one off the rails and was only plodding over the final 150m despite a move to blinkers. Wild Boy settled one off the fence in fifth, peeled into the clear six deep at the 150m and ran on steadily to just miss a pay slip. Apache Spirit travelled worse than midfield three deep with some cover, swung the final bend with two wider out and made some progress in an improved run. Early favourite Ruby Coast settled second from the rear after jumping slow, swung the final bend with one wider out and kept on to pass beaten rivals. None Other was only holding his ground over the final 200m after a deep run near the speed.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (613)-THE SAUTERNES CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Metres

RUBY COAST was slow to begin.

From wide barriers, RACING MATE and BOTH SURE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Despite being vigorously ridden along in the early stages, WILD BOY failed to muster speed.

BO DUKE made the first turn near the 1000 Metres awkwardly.

BOTH SURE lost its left front plate at the 1000 Metres.

After the 900 Metres, RACING MATE was left racing wide and without cover.

HAPPY BAO BEI got its head on the side and made the Home Turn awkwardly.

After the 300 Metres, NO MONEY NO TALK was shifted out across the heels of EYE ON YOU to obtain clear running.

For the majority of the race, NONE OTHER travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of RUBY COAST immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

HAPPY BAO BEI and NO MONEY NO TALK were sent for sampling.
