Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (561)-MATHESON HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres
After being loaded into the barriers, BREEDERS' STAR became fractious and reared, resulting in its rider, D Whyte, being dislodged.BREEDERS' STAR was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
Before being allowed to race again, BREEDERS' STAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
As the start was effected, AIMING HIGH lifted its front feet off the ground and then shortly after the start shifted in and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of IMPERIAL CHAMPION.
SAN NICASIO began awkwardly and stumbled on jumping.
From a wide barrier, TANGO FIRE was steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, LUCKY DAY failed to muster speed.
AIMING HIGH made the turn near the 1000 Metres awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of IMPERIAL CHAMPION.
Making the first turn after the 1000 Metres, COUR VALANT got its head on the side and lay out.
In the early part of the Straight, BACK IN BLACK and SKY HERO raced tight and came into contact as BACK IN BLACK shifted out to obtain clear running.
Throughout the race, MISSION POSSIBLE travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of BREEDERS' STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BACK IN BLACK and ALL GREAT FRIENDS were sent for sampling.

Favourite Back In Black settled in the one-out, one-back, pushed his way out between runners at the 250m and wore down All Great Friends 60m out for a fourth win from nine outings. All Great Friends mustered quickly to lead from gate five, cornered nearly two lengths on top and kept on gamely to finish a clear-cut second. Imperial Champion got in one off the fence behind midfield at the 800m, swung the final bend with two wider out and quickened well to out-bob second favourite Cour Valant for a placing. Cour Valant settled one off the fence in midfield, turned the final bend with one wider out and ran on steadily to just miss a placing. He's a future winner in Class Four. Mission Possible only held his ground over the final 150m after a prominent run without cover from a wide gate. Sky Hero gave way 150m out after stalking the leader to his outside. Breeders' Star produced a one-paced response in the drive following a rail's run in midfield. He had been restless and tossed his rider in the gate prior to the start. San Nicasio just made up the numbers yet again when failing to let down from near the back. Plunged at odds, Aiming High never made an impression after travelling second from the rear.
