Prince Falcon finally got off the mark at his 25th start with a well-timed move following a rails run travelling behind. He might find things harder with a return to Class Four. Favourite Polymer Luck wore down Bliss Cartel for second following a midfield run but would have gone closer to winning if he could run a straight line when placed under pressure. Bliss Cartel was only swamped in the late stages after working to the lead 400m out following a pace-stalking run behind No Laughing Matter. He's back on track following a colic surgery in March and can breakthrough at any time. In a better run, Cash Courier only came up flat in the final 100m following a brief bid from midfield. My Folks made up heaps of ground after travelling second from the rear. He appears to have matured following the summer break.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (103)-HWAMEI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1600Metres

PERFECT TIMING and SHOW MISSION bumped on jumping.

POLYMER LUCK began awkwardly.

DOUBLE POINT shifted out at the start when being ridden along, resulting in BLISS CARTEL being hampered and taken out onto PRINCE FALCON which lost ground when crowded for room inside WINGOLD.

WINGOLD shifted out after being bumped by PRINCE FALCON, resulting in ENJOY THE GAME being crowded for room inside PERFECT TIMING.

From a wide barrier, ATOMIC BLAST was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Passing the 1400 Metres, WINGOLD commenced to prove difficult to settle and got its head up after shifting in away from NOVEL START and became awkwardly placed outside the heels of DOUBLE POINT.

After this, WINGOLD continued to prove difficult to settle and got its head up for some distance before being left racing wide and without cover passing the 900 Metres.

BLISS CARTEL lost its right front plate near the 850 Metres.

In the early part of the Straight, CASH COURIER and SHOW MISSION raced tight.

Passing the 400 Metres, PERFECT TIMING was bumped by GARLIC YEAH which attempted to shift to the outside of WINGOLD into clear running.

This resulted in GARLIC YEAH being awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINGOLD for a short distance.

Passing the 300 Metres, POLYMER LUCK commenced to hang in and shifted ground, resulting in SHOW MISSION being bumped.

POLYMER LUCK then continued to hang in and proved difficult to ride and over the concluding stages shifted in, resulting in CASH COURIER being awkwardly placed inside the heels of POLYMER LUCK.

A veterinary inspection of NO LAUGHING MATTER immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.

Before being allowed to race again, NO LAUGHING MATTER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

PRINCE FALCON and POLYMER LUCK were sent for sampling.
