Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (292)-TAI TAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Metres
SHINING CHAMPION was crowded for room on jumping between MEGATRON and HAPPY JOURNEY, both of which shifted ground.Shortly after the start, MR KOOL became unbalanced after being bumped by SPEEDY WALLY.
From wide barriers, CONSISTENT and LANSBURY were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Passing the 500 Metres, CONSISTENT got its head on the side and lay in despite the efforts of its rider and in doing so made contact with the shoulder of SPEEDY WALLY which became unbalanced.
SPEEDY WALLY and CONSISTENT then bumped on a number of occasions as CONSISTENT continued to hang in when unbalanced.
HAPPY JOURNEY was badly held up for clear running from on straightening until passing the 100 Metres and consequently was not able to be fully tested.
Over the final 200 Metres, IMPERIAL CONCORDE hung in under pressure.
Throughout the race, EQUITY DOCTRINE travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on DRAGON HARMONY at the request of Trainer J Moore.
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON HARMONY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of HAPPY JOURNEY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DRAGON HARMONY, IMPERIAL CONCORDE and ENREACHING were sent for sampling.

Imperial Concorde wound up nicely travelling behind midfield to take control 50m out for a return to the winner's circle. He wasn't far off the mark in three of four earlier dirt outings and the win was certainly no surprise. He'll remain in the middle of the grade and might be able to ring up another. Enreaching stayed on well after stalking a good pace to grab second in the late stages in his first run over a mile on the dirt. He's ready to score over this trip on either surface. Speedy Wally switched into the open 200m out after travelling amongst the backmarkers and finished strongly to snatch third at a price. He has been finding things harder after winning twice earlier in the term but the lightweight did help. Late-fancied favourite Dragon Harmony went a bit too hard after clearing to the front from a wide gate and was on his tippy-toes late. He's an honest dirt performer.
