Second favourite Noble Steed rushed to the lead 380m out after peeling into the open rounding the final bend following a handy run and edged clear to build on an impressive debut in November. Royale Elegance ran on nicely after travelling third from the rear to just grab second. He always puts in his two bits late but has been having trouble getting his timing right. Travel Emperor stayed on well along the inside following a rail run in midfield for a placing carrying top weight. He isn't far off a win if he can remain in the grade. The Full Bloom defied a deep run beyond midfield from a wide gate to get up for fourth. He's improving with racing and needs to be kept safe when drawing a gate over this trip. Never Better was getting going very late widest out from the rear of the field. He's honest but has trouble winning. Favourite Nice Kick came up one-paced following a box-seat run tackling an extra 200m. He needs more time.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (277) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY DEAR Q COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

ROYALE ELEGANCE was crowded for room on jumping between TRIUMPHANT LIGHT which shifted in abruptly and ADONIS which got its head on the side and shifted out.

ADONIS then became unbalanced, shifted in and bumped GOOD FOR YOU.

CITY LEGEND began only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded for room between TRAVEL EMPEROR which shifted out marginally and ARGENTUM which was taken in by NOBLE STEED which in turn was taken in by NICE KICK.

A short distance after this, NICE KICK and HAPPY WARRIOR bumped, resulting in HAPPY WARRIOR becoming unbalanced.

GOOD FOR YOU was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

From a wide barrier, NEVER BETTER was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.

Making the turn near the 900 Metres, GOOD FOR YOU commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of ARGENTUM.

ROYALE ELEGANCE, which was following, shifted out away from the heels of GOOD FOR YOU in consequence.

Rounding the Home Turn, GOOD FOR YOU was hampered when disappointed for running between ARGENTUM and TRAVEL EMPEROR (N Rawiller) which shifted out.

N Rawiller was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

CITY LEGEND had difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight.

Passing the 400 Metres, TRAVEL EMPEROR became unbalanced when racing tight between ARGENTUM and NICE KICK which shifted out.

For some distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, ARGENTUM was not able to be properly tested when racing in restricted room between SUPREME WITNESS and TRAVEL EMPEROR which shifted out marginally under pressure.

GOOD FOR YOU was held up for clear running until passing the 200 Metres.

Throughout the race, SUPREME WITNESS travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of VICTORY MASTER immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm and also to have bled from both nostrils.

Before being allowed to race again, VICTORY MASTER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

NICE KICK, NOBLE STEED and ROYALE ELEGANCE were sent for sampling.
