AFC Wimbledon will play the club that led to their creation for the first time after the Milton Keynes Dons beat Cambridge City 6-1 in an FA Cup first-round replay. Milton Keynes' victory followed AFC Wimbledon's victory over York to set up what is sure to be a highly charged second-round clash after the draw paired them together. AFC were formed in 2002 by fans angry at the FA's decision to allow the then Wimbledon FC, who were based in the south London borough that hosts the annual tennis championships, to relocate 72 kilometres north to Milton Keynes. After the two sides were drawn together, the Wimbledon Independent Supporters Association said: "We once again call on Milton Keynes to drop Dons from their name, a name that remains a prominent reminder, that they stole a Football League place through the theft and franchising of Wimbledon FC, despite acknowledging that they are a new club representing the community of Milton Keynes." Striker Shinji Okazaki tapped in a late goal to help Japan beat Oman 2-1 and virtually seal a spot in the 2014 World Cup yesterday. The Japanese, who led Asia group B by eight points, were the dominant side in the first half. They took the lead in the 20th minute when Yuto Nagatomo sent a cross to Hiroshi Kiyotake, who slotted it home. Oman drew level in the 77th when a free kick from Ahmed Mubarak slipped under the outstretched arm of goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima. But Japan had the final say, as substitute Gotoku Sakai's cross into the area deflected off Yasuhito Endo and into the path of Okazaki, who scored in the 89th. AP
