There was a double dose of good news for Tottenham Hotspur fans in Hong Kong on Thursday when, alongside the news that the London club were set to visit the region on a more regular basis in future, club chairman Daniel Levy said manager Mauricio Pochettino will remain at the club with Spanish giants Barcelona rumoured to be circling the Argentine.
“Mauricio is sitting right in front of us here,” said Levy. “I’m sure he’s not going anywhere. He loves us.”

Levy delivered the message during a media conference in Hong Kong, attended by Pochettino and members of his staff, where the club announced an extension to their global principal partnership deal with city-based insurance company AIA, which will run until the end of the 2021-22 season.
In addition, two as yet unnamed members of the club’s elite coaching staff will be based permanently in Asia helping to develop local talent.
Tottenham have brought a near full-strength side to Hong Kong for the Kitchee friendly.
On Wednesday, a selection of the club’s star players attended coaching clinics in city schools.
