What World Cup 2018 matches can I watch today? Portugal v Spain, Egypt v Uruguay and Morocco v Iran

Luis Suarez meets Mohamed Salah in group A while the biggest game of the tournament so far takes place in Sochi

There’s nothing better than that Friday feeling except perhaps for Fridays during the World Cup.

Tonight’s reward for being a football fan in 2018 is three matches live from Russia including the biggest game of the tournament so far.

It all kicks off at 8pm with Mohamed Salah’s Egypt taking on Luis Suarez’s Uruguay in Ekaterinburg, and what screams World Cup more than a South American side taking on the most successful country in African football, in a city dubbed the “gateway to Siberia”?

Former World Cup winners Uruguay have made the knockouts at the last two tournaments while Egypt are at their first World Cup since Italia ’90.

Uruguay are paying $1.60 with Egypt at $7. The draw is around $3.5.

That game kicks off at 8pm in Hong Kong and is live on Viu TV (channel 99) and Now TV’s World Cup channels (618 and 619).

Morocco v Iran is another game to raise the heart rate of World Cup aficionados. The Lions of the Atlas take on the Lions of Persia in Saint Petersburg.

Iran are the best team in Asia and will be looking to open their account with a win but the North Africans are favourites at $2.25 while Iran are priced at $4. The draw is at $3.

The game kicks off at 11pm and is only available on the Now TV World Cup channels.

Friday night’s final game is technically Saturday morning but fans are sure to stay up for 2010 World Cup champions taking on the current European champions Portugal.

The Iberian neighbours are number four and No 10 respectively in the Fifa rankings, and the teams line-up in Sochi on Friday with lower-ranked Spain considered as potential winners of the tournament.

La Furia Roja are $7.5 to lift the trophy despite sacking manager Julen Lopetegui on the eve of the tournament on Wednesday.

Fernando Hierro will lead the team out against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal with Spain favourites at $2.1 and their rivals at $4.2 for the win. A stalemate is $3.2.

The game is on at 2am on both Viu TV and Now TV.
