Apple said to be planning 3 new iPad Pros for next year

Tech blog says new models would range from 9.7 inches to 12.9 inches

Apple may have three new iPads slated for release next year, technology blog MacRumours says.

The new iPad Pro models would range from 9.7 inches to 12.9 inches, MacRumours said, citing well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. That’s in line with Kuo’s previous predictions .

In the past, Apple has not made formal announcements of new hardware prior to company release events, but CNBC has reached out for comment.

Even with the new models, Kuo expects iPad shipments will continue to fall next year, with the more “revolutionary” iPad changes, like a flexible display, likely to come in 2018 at the earliest, according to MacRumours. Worldwide, tablet shipments declined more than 12 per cent in the second quarter across major vendors, according to IDC estimates.

Still, new models could help the tech giant within the commercial and education markets, MacRumors reported. It comes at a time when Apple has doubled down its quest for the enterprise market.

The Cupertino, California, company last week announced a partnership with Deloitte, which has dedicated 5,000 advisors to help corporate clients work with Apple products, according to Reuters. The Deloitte partnership follows the lead of deeper ties with companies like Cisco and IBM over the past year, as corporate sales appear to be growing at Apple.
