Kinesiology

What is it?

Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a diagnostic tool to locate imbalances in the energy system. It's based on the traditional Chinese medicine belief that a muscle is related to a specific meridian and its associated organ and 'emotions'. When there's little energy flowing through a muscle, it can indicate that the related meridian has problems.

The annual furniture fair has been touted as a leading forum for international design ideas and trends, and this year showcased original living solutions and tried-and-tested interiors from more than 1,300 companies.

Where: The Renewal Day Spa, G/F Printing House, 6 Duddell Street, Central (tel: 2973-6669). It's called 'The Rustic Retreat', which seems a bit strange for a place in Central, but through the frosted glass doors is a different world: terracotta floors, soothing piped tunes and a labyrinth of sweet, small but sumptuous treatment rooms.
