Passenger traffic soaring at Kimpo

ARRIVAL and departure procedures at Kimpo International Airport have been streamlined to cope with the highest increase of passenger traffic in the world.

The number of passengers passing through Seoul airport reached 27.3 million last year - a 19.6 per cent increase from the previous year.

Blake dismisses $50m saving for design change

ABOUT $50 million could be saved in the design of the new airport terminal, legislator Samuel Wong Ping-wai said yesterday.

The money was not needed because the connection between the airport railway and the terminal building had been dropped, he said. The design fee should therefore be cut by that amount, he said.
