Extra Shows

The Hong Kong Arts Festival is offering three extra shows. There will be one additional performance of Metamorphosis on February 22 (5pm), one additional matinee performance of Murder in San Jose on March 8 (3pm) and one additional evening performance of Lisa Ono - A Celebration of 50 years of Bossa Nova on March 9 (8pm).

Curtain rises on the inner lives of dance stars

BEING AN ARTIST means exposing oneself and transcending norms.

In dancer and choreographer Akram Khan's Sacred Monsters, a duet featuring Khan and prima ballerina Sylvie Guillem, audiences get a rare glimpse into the inner lives of two of the dance world's most famous stars as they unravel their experiences of living in and breaking free from formal traditions.

To coincide with Akram Khan's forthcoming performance at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, the British Council hosts a photographic and video retrospective of Khan's career. A symbol of British multi-culturalism, Khan is renowned for choreography that draws equally from Western contemporary dance as well as the classical Indian form of Kathak.
