Prost lured back as test driver

FORMULA One World Champion Alain Prost is to test drive for McLaren and could still race for them this season, team boss Ron Dennis has said.

The Frenchman has been tempted back to the team where he won three of his four world titles because it now gets V10 engines from French car maker Peugeot.

Just ask Alain Prost. France's long-time sporting hero steered his Williams-Renualt past the chequered flag in front of tens of thousands of roaring fans to win the French Formula One Grand Prix - his fifth for the season - at Magny Cours, earlier this month.

Professor Prost in class of his own for 47th victory

ALAIN Prost, driving a Williams-Renault, won his 47th Grand Prix with an emphatic victory in Barcelona.

The Frenchman's victory was a formality from the moment teammate Damon Hill of Britain withdrew in mid-race with engine trouble.

Fourth pole in row for Prost

FRENCHMAN Alain Prost, who has won pole position at every race so far this season, clinched it again yesterday for the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola, Italy.

Prost, criticised after his performance in the rain-affected European Grand Prix at Donington, was lagging behind teammate Damon Hill.
