Jockey Lai slightly hurt in car drama

Jockey Alex Lai Hoi-wing escaped serious injury when his car struck a road divider, flipped over and skidded more than 30 metres yesterday morning. Lai was on his way to ride trackwork at Sha Tin when he lost control of his car on the Tai Po Road at about 4am as he tried to avoid another vehicle. Lai suffered abrasions. He was treated at Prince of Wales Hospital and discharged.
