Wong looks set to beat horse-doping charge

Alex Wong Siu-tan yesterday took a giant leap toward clearing his name of a drug-related charge imposed against him earlier this year, which resulted in a record $150,000 fine.

Yesterday's licensing committee also foreshadowed a battle facing trainers Peter Chapple-Hyam (left) and Alex Wong Siu-tan (right) if they are to remain next season. The committee deferred any decision on their applications, but both may face 'show cause' hearings later in the year.
