Many want Zeman to stay at Ocean Park; does C.Y.?

Allan Zeman's future as Ocean Park's chairman hangs on the decision of chief executive-elect Leung Chun-ying, since the city's outgoing leader is said to be fine with the businessman serving another term.

Zeman has presided over the theme park's board for nine years, three years beyond the usual six-year limit for heads of statutory bodies.

The hard way up

Jonathan Zeman, the son of business tycoon Allan Zeman, was not entitled to be handed the job of 'Director, Chief Operating Officer' of Lan Kwai Fong Group (LKF) on a silver platter. Instead, he started working in an LKF restaurant as trainee back in 1998, and for several years afterwards performed various functions within the group to get the 'groundwork' done.
