Allied Group gains slide

The Allied Group yesterday said attributable profit slid to $93.54 million in the six months to June 30, compared with $200.31 million in the first half of last year. The company said its United Asia Finance arm continued to grow and recorded an increase in its loan portfolio to approximately $1.4 billion.

Turnover more than doubles as Allied arms help lift interims

Increased contributions from Allied Properties (HK) and United Asia Finance helped Allied Group report a rise in attributable profit from $87.9 million to $200.3 million in the six months to June. The contribution from associates during the half was $181.09 million compared with $38.9 million previously. Turnover rose from $322.3 million to $779.89 million.
