Tim Noonan

Nothing but good is allowed in the fiefdom of Roger Goodell and the man is unwaveringly vigilant in ensuring that.

Paradoxical pointers

Now that the Denver Broncos have won the Super Bowl, the stock market can feel free to decline.

That is what the widely know Super Bowl indicator says.

The market declined in six of the seven previous cases when a former American Football League team won.

Then there is the famous hemline indicator - as skirt lengths go up, so do stocks.

All I want for Christmas is that driveway arena

Wharf 'not to blame'

THANK you for printing my letter (''Thanks a lot, Wharf,'' South China Morning Post , February 7) regarding the difficulty of viewing the Super Bowl in Hong Kong.

Just in case you missed it

BY the time you read this, America's 27th Super Bowl is likely to be half over. The dedicated have been up since 6.50 am watching Pearl's live coverage of the American football spectacular between the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills.

Late risers need not despair, however, since two hours of highlights are being shown tonight (Pearl 9.45 pm).
