Regardless of nationality, anyone watching the recent soccer match between England and the defending European Champions France would have to agree on what an incredible turnaround game it was. Seeing Zinedine Zidane (recently named world player of the year) strike two late goals was impressive, even if you wound up in the same emotional state as David Beckham: tearful.

Scots hold on for win

ARWEL Thomas missed a conversion kick in the final minute as Scotland hung on to a 16-14 victory yesterday to stay on course for a Five Nations rugby union Grand Slam.

After the two teams had swapped tries, one for Scotland by fly-half Gregor Townsend and one for Wales by winger Wayne Proctor, Thomas had the chance to tie the game.
