Stewards hit Fradd where it hurts most

Stewards yesterday limbered up for their traditional last-day assault on the wallets of jockeys when they hit Robbie Fradd with a $20,000 fine.

Fradd finished sixth on John Size-trained Darwin in the eighth event but failed to ride the horse out to the line to the stewards' satisfaction and later pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 100(2), occasioning the fine.
