Territory run amok in goal-spree

HONG Kong's Australian Rules side maintained their unbeaten record in the territory with a 12-goal demolition of the visiting Singapore Wombats at So Kon Po yesterday.

Inspired efforts in the second and third quarters when they kicked 11 goals without reply proved decisive for the home team who ran out easy 16-12 (108) to 5-6 (36) winners.

Games record smashed by Yap

YAP Kai-tak ran the race of his life to win the Arafura Games 1,500 metres in Australia yesterday and lead a Hongkong rush for medals.

The territory's top miler, Yap cruised to victory at Darwin's Marrara stadium in four minutes 0.28 seconds to better the Games record by more than six seconds.
