I WRITE in support of Mark Amdur's letter (South China Morning Post, July 10) concerning the appalling invitation to ''shoot rare animals in Australia'', and to express my similar disgust at an ad which has been running in Hongkong publications recently, including the Sunday Morning Post's M magazine.

New car compact disc units offer high fidelity

JUST a few years ago, a radio cassette was a desirable feature for a motor car and the crackles and poor quality were accepted because we knew no better. Times have changed.

Now, many cars have high quality compact disc players as standard equipment and car salesmen carry a selection of CDs when taking a potential customer for a test drive.
