Directed by Romanian-born Radu Mihaileanu, Le Concert centres around musician Andrei Filipov (Aleksei Guskov). Filipov conducted the famous Bolshoi orchestra in Russia 30 years ago during the Soviet regime but was fired for hiring Jewish musicians.
