Wuxi residents unsettled as police stage bank robbery for training exercise

Residents of Wuxi in Jiangsu province were left confused after police staged an armed robbery exercise at a bank on a crowded street in the city without first informing the public.

7 dogs dead at robbery site

Robbers bound and gagged a security guard in a locked container and might have poisoned seven dogs before escaping with HK$200,000 worth of electrical cables from a godown in Ta Kwu Ling early yesterday.

Three or four men attacked the guard when he left the container, used as an office at the open-air site in Ping Yuen Road, to go to the toilet shortly after midnight.

Police on lookout for trouserless burglar

Police were on the hunt for a trouserless burglar last night.

The man entered a kindergarten in Shekkipmei at 7pm, sending a lone female staff member fleeing into the toilet.

After he left, a $2,000 digital camera was found to be missing. The police have classified the case as indecent exposure and burglary.

Robbers grab $1.65m worth of gadgets - and security footage

Robbers overpowered two security guards and stole $1.65 million worth of computer chips and video projectors yesterday morning - along with the security camera footage of their raid on a Kwun Tong industrial building.

The two victims were tied and blindfolded by the robbers who broke into the 16th-floor office at the Capital Trade Centre, in Tsun Yip Street.

Robbers take $2m in gold bars during raid on shop

Robbers yesterday broke into a Yau Ma Tei goldsmith's shop, tied up the owner and his wife and spent more than half an hour carting off gold bars worth up to $2 million.

Police described the robbery as a well-planned raid.
