Correction

Last week's picture of One Beacon Hill was incorrectly labelled as Mount Beacon Hill; and Kowloon Residential Sales of Savills was incorrectly listed as Kowloon Residential Sales.

Beacon Hill stands alone

Despite the suggestion in the letter 'New face may be what's needed', relating to Beacon Hill School (Education Post November 16), I am proud to say that I am a former student. I am astonished that some people can look down on this school in such a way. The things I learnt at Beacon Hill are an advantage to me in my classes now. How can you compare other schools with this one?

Lyden leaves legacy of learning

I was shocked to hear that Robert Lyden, long time principal of Beacon Hill School, had resigned. Yet I was not surprised to hear that his resignation came after an English Schools Foundation (ESF) commissioned inspection.

Teacher put the children first

I was astonished and disturbed to read the letter from ESF chief executive Jennifer Wisker regarding the resignation of Mr Lyden. The news broke as my daughter, who is in Primary Six, was at school camp on Cheung Chau. Mr Lyden visited them and the children, who were not aware of what had happened, observed that he 'did not look too happy'.
