Oil refinery's berth to be the biggest

ZHENHAI General Petrochemical Works is planning to expand a Zhejiang oil berth by the end of the year, making it the largest in China.

The facility in Beilun, Ningbo, will have a total capacity of 258,000 deadweight tonnes.

THE role of Ningbo port in Zhejiang province will grow in importance within the next 10 years as the province continues to intensify its efforts to attract foreign investment.

The Beilun harbour, one of three docking facilities that make up the port, has begun construction of a 200,000 tonne pier for the re-export of mineral deposits.
