A whole new trove of teenage beliefs

Justin Bieber may only be 18, but he's achieved more than many people do in a lifetime. Four number-one albums, tens of millions of fans, the first runner-up on Forbes' 'highest-paid celebs under 30' list, megastars on his speed dial ... and that's just for starters.

Just call him Mr Bieber

It's only been two and a half years since Justin Bieber's debut, yet Believe is a whole new ball game. He's definitely in the big leagues now.

JB's also broadened his musical horizons - as well as the poppy R&B of My World, he dabbles in Ibiza beats, hip hop, good ol' Motown, and more.

Get your tribe on

Let's face it - tribal prints look great dressed up or down. Choose, say, a tee. Jeans, sneakers, done - it's way more fun than plain tees. But they're also fabulous in a smart evening dress.

Brainwashingly catchy songs

Judging from a cursory glance at the track list - actually, just from a glance at the first two tracks - Far East Movement have taken their unexpected collaborations up a notch with Justin Bieber singing the hook after a song featuring Tyga. With two polar opposites next to each other, it's safe to say the conventions of the hip-hop genre don't apply to Dirty Bass.

Train sadly gets off the tracks

American pop band Train struck it big with their 2009 single Hey Soul Sister. Now they're back, hoping to regain that success with their latest offering, California 37.

Opener This'll Be My Year highlights landmark dates in the songwriter's life. It's an attempt at autobiography but doesn't quite succeed as a song.

Justin Bieber May 13, AsiaWorld-Expo

Nothing can stop Justin Bieber these days. Not pranksters launching eggs at him at a Sydney gig, nor a chest infection in Manila, nor even an embarrassingly low-key reception at our airport. Like it or not, Bieber fever is here to stay. Well, at least until Usher discovers the next floppy-haired YouTube sensation.

A star-studded line-up

It was a pop feast for Hong Kong music fans this week. Justin Bieber was in town last Friday, Korean star Rain wowed crowds in Macau and Japan's Yui Yoshioka sang in Tsim Sha Tsui on Saturday and at a shopping mall on Sunday. Bieber's concert lived up to expectations but his visit got off to a rocky start when only seven fans greeted him at the airport.

Bieber rocks Hong Kong

Justin Bieber's arrival at Hong Kong airport last week was anticlimactic. Only seven fans showed up to greet him, instead of the frenzied crushes we've grown used to. In fact, bodyguards outnumbered fans three to one. His handlers said it was because he arrived during school hours.
