The imposition of heat restrictions during the Sha Tin meeting last Sunday makes us wonder if the Jockey Club might have reached a point where consideration could be given to reintroducing twilight or evening meetings in this part of the season.

If anyone thought or even hoped that yesterday's Sha Tin meeting was going to shed some fresh light on the jockey or trainer championships, then they left thoroughly disappointed with what was nearly a contender-free zone.

Blinkers and gate give Bobo Dragon the edge

Bobo Dragon ran well in defeat to Bullish Boy two starts back from a wide gate. This time Zac Purton's horse has a better alley.

A better barrier, blinkers, and a hungry and in-form Zac Purton will be the keys for Bobo Dragon to breakthrough and shed his bridesmaid tag in the opening leg of Sunday's Triple Trio at Sha Tin.
