HK$500 prize comes with a catch...

Schoolteacher Mark Henry had travelled all the way from Cambodia to watch the Hong Kong Sixes - and he partly paid for his ticket into the confines of the Kowloon Cricket Club by taking the first catch of the day to claim the prize of HK$500.

'Well it nearly pays for the ticket, if not the beers. I just wish it was Australian dollars,' smiled Brisbane-born Henry (pictured).

Long-distance call

Artist Jonathan Tse Chun-hung's Portrait of an Australian was inspired by a box of old family photographs and designed to look like a passport. Throughout the screen-printed book there are photos and anecdotes, some of them written as if by Tse as a child, telling of the often-demanding process of making a home in a new country.

Australians offer a lesson in manners

This summer, I went to Brisbane, in Australia, and one thing really impressed me - the people's manners. I felt their behaviour was completely different to people in Hong Kong.

Hongkongers are used to being served by others. Many of them think they deserve respect because they have money. This kind of attitude is wrong.

Brisbane is a relaxed city. People like to enjoy themselves in the usually sunny weather. We tend to get a bit of rain but overall I think Australia has the best weather in the world.

Visitors to Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia, inevitably find themselves in the Queen Street Mall, a shopping strip in the CBD with all the usual suspects. Tarlan Amigh

I'm half Iranian and half Saudi and have nothing but fond memories of growing up in Queensland in the 1980s. In fact, I think I've had a pretty amazing life and that's been an immense privilege.

Mum married Dad when she was 16 and they lived in Saudi Arabia where he was from, then London before moving to Brisbane.
