The city's hilly terrain and high humidity can be a challenge with children in tow, and finding a place big enough to park strollers and unleash the little ones can prove difficult.

Top Deck, the 9,000 sq ft restaurant on the third floor of the Jumbo Kingdom boat, reopened last week. The vessel, which is berthed in Aberdeen, was taken to the mainland for two months to have a hull refit. Top Deck has resumed its Sunday brunch (HK$328 for adults, HK$198 for children), which includes seafood, meat, salad, pasta and beverages.

Soho Soho: closed but still open

Soho Soho may have closed its doors on Lyndhurst Terrace but its popular nouveau Brit-cuisine hasn't completely disappeared. Head chef Mandy Lau Chi-kwan and her staff are still cooking, but now only for breakfast and brunch and only at the Fringe Club's Fotogalerie and Roof Garden on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between 9am and 4pm.
