Canoeists capsized in training exercise

Seven canoeists on a training exercise failed a real-life test yesterday when they were capsized by big waves and could not get back into their craft.

The seven, including four teenaged trainees, were paddling about 100 metres off Lido Beach in Tsuen Wan when they fell into the sea just after 1pm.

Missing paddler found safe

Canoeist Kan Wing-fuk, 63, was found paddling off Tai Long Wan, Sai Kung, after a police search. Officers were called out after Mr Kan failed to return home as promised on Monday.
