Towering above the rest

An intelligent parking tower has begun trial operations in Xiamen, the first of its kind in Fujian province.

With a height of 50 metres, the car park has 25 levels and capacity for 50 cars.

The parking and collection of cars is automatic.

With a height of 50 metres, the car park has 25 levels and capacity for 50 cars.

The parking and collection of cars is automatic.

After the driver checks in, the car will be taken to a vacant parking space within the tower.

Equality before the law should be a hallmark of any legal system. But that raises the question about how laws and policies are written and implemented. Consider the policy encouraging developers to improve living standards by including green features in buildings.

Lawmakers to dig up 1997 time capsule

Legislators will unearth the time capsule underneath the car park of the Legislative Council as they bid farewell to the building in Central next July. The capsule, laid before the handover of sovereignty in 1997, contains mementos from members who were dismissed and replaced by a provisional Legco.
